Automated Events

Automated Events are fired automatically when an important action takes place.

PixelYourSite sends them to each tag installed with the plugin: Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, Google Ads Tag, TikTok Tag, Pinterest Tag, or Bing.

When possible, the events have parameters that track additional data and let you identify the exact action, like what link was clicked, what video was watched, or what form was submitted.

Track internal links

This event fires when a visitor clicks on internal links. 

Event name: InternalClick

On TikTok is called Click Button.

Specific parameters: text, target_url

Use cases:

Track outbound links

This event fires when a visitor clicks on external links. 

Event name: ExternalClick

On TikTok is called Click Button.

Specific parameters: text, target_url

Track embedded YouTube or Vimeo video views

This event fires when a visitor watches an embedded YouTube or Vimeo video. It fires for play, 10%, 50%, 90%, and 100% of the video.

Event name: WatchVideo

Specific parameters: progress, video_type, video_title, video_id
