Easy Digital Downloads Product Catalog Feed / Install and activate / Requirements & Installation

Requirements & Installation

Last updated: June 29, 2026

Requirements

  • WordPress (current major version recommended)
  • Easy Digital Downloads (any current version)
  • Write permissions on the WordPress uploads folder — the plugin creates /wp-content/uploads/wpeddpcf-feed/ on activation and writes all feed files there
  • A valid license key from your account

Optional integrations (the plugin detects these automatically if active):

  • EDD Recurring Payments — enables subscription detection for Google Merchant feed compliance
  • EDD Software Licensing — used as a fallback to detect license-based subscriptions
  • WPML — enables per-language feed generation

Installation

  1. Download the plugin zip file from your account at pixelyoursite.com.
  2. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  3. Upload the zip file and click Install Now.
  4. Click Activate Plugin.

On activation the plugin creates the feed output directories inside your uploads folder. If it cannot create those directories it will show an error and deactivate itself — check that your uploads folder is writable before retrying.

License activation

A valid license is required for the plugin to function. Without it, the feed settings screen is not accessible.

  1. Go to EDD Product Catalog → License in the WordPress admin.
  2. Paste your license key into the field and click Activate License.
  3. The status changes to Active and the main settings screen becomes available.

Your license key was sent by email after purchase. You can also find it in your account at pixelyoursite.com under My Purchases. If you bought a bundle, use the product-specific license key for this plugin, not the bundle key.
