PixelYourSite MCP and Easy Digital Downloads
Your AI assistant can read and change how PixelYourSite tracks Easy Digital Downloads. Ask it to check your setup, toggle events, or change content ID settings — it will show you exactly what it plans to change and wait for your confirmation before saving anything.
“Check my EDD tracking setup” is a good starting point.
Requires Easy Digital Downloads to be installed and active. Write tools require PixelYourSite Pro. EDD data is always separate from WooCommerce — the assistant never combines them.
Funnel events
EDD funnel events fire on key purchase actions.
Read: on/off state of every funnel event.
Write (Pro): toggle any funnel event on or off. Changes apply across all active platforms.

Lifecycle events
Lifecycle events fire on purchase based on a customer’s order history. They let you segment audiences by purchase behaviour. EDD lifecycle events do not include NewCustomer or ReturningCustomer — those are WooCommerce only.
Read: on/off state and threshold for each lifecycle event.
Write (Pro): enable or disable each event, adjust thresholds.

Subscriptions and licenses
track_subscriptions — fire events for EDD Recurring Payments subscription renewals. Requires the EDD Recurring Payments plugin. The toggle is locked if the plugin is not active.
track_licenses — fire events for EDD Software Licensing licence activations and renewals. Requires the EDD Software Licensing plugin. The toggle is locked if the plugin is not active.
EDD does not support POAS (profit tracking).
Content ID
Content ID is the download identifier sent with every EDD event. It must match the ID used in your product catalog feeds for dynamic ads to work.
Read: current content ID source, prefix, and suffix per platform.
Write (Pro): change source, prefix, and suffix.
Source options:
- download_id — the WordPress post ID. Always present, always unique. The safe default.
- download_sku — the EDD SKU. Only use this if every download has a SKU set. Downloads without a SKU fall back to the post ID automatically.
EDD content ID does not support custom_field, content_id_logic, variable_as_simple, or WPML options. Those are WooCommerce-only features.
Content ID is stored per platform. If platforms have been set differently, the assistant will tell you and can re-align them.
Platform event toggles
Each platform has its own toggle for every EDD event it supports. An event only fires for a platform when both the global toggle and the platform toggle are on.

EDD feed alignment
If EDD Products Feed Pro is installed (version 2.1 or later), the assistant can compare your content ID settings against the feed and flag any mismatch.
The EDD feed always uses the WordPress post ID with no prefix or suffix. Any other setting in PYS will produce IDs that do not match the feed.
The feed generates one entry per download. For downloads with multiple price tiers, the feed uses item_group_id to group variations under the parent post ID. Both download_id and download_sku (where the SKU falls back to post ID) are compatible with this structure.
“Are my EDD content IDs aligned with my feed?” triggers this check.
The assistant will explain any discrepancy and offer to fix the PYS side after you confirm that the detected feed is the one actually connected in Google Merchant Center.
Requires EDD Products Feed Pro 2.1 or later. The EDD feed plugin generates Google Merchant Center feeds only.
Value settings
How the purchase event value is calculated: whether tax is included or excluded, and whether an order ID prefix is applied. EDD is a digital product platform so there are no shipping options. These are readable but not writable via MCP — change them in PixelYourSite → Easy Digital Downloads.
Attribution reports
If “Save data to orders” is enabled in PixelYourSite settings and the historical sync is complete, the assistant can query your EDD attribution data.
“What were my top traffic sources for EDD last month?” or “What downloads did my email campaign sell?”
Results are always EDD only. WooCommerce data is never combined with EDD data in the same answer.
