Main Options

Here’s what you can do on the ConsentMagic PRO main page (the first screen you land on after opening the plugin).

Rules (location-based targeting)

At the top you’ll see the Rules list, with this key behavior:

  • A visitor is targeted by a single rule, based on location.
  • You can drag & drop rules to set priority (top = higher priority).
  • Each rule has an ON/OFF toggle — if it’s off, it won’t be applied.

Available rules shown in the list

  • GDPR Rule (toggle + Edit + Preview + rule options icon)
  • Limited Data Use (LDU) Rule (toggle + Edit + Preview + rule options icon)
  • Rest of the world Rule (toggle + Edit + Preview + rule options icon)
  • IAB Rule (shown as Disabled in your screenshot)

Actions per rule

  • Edit: open and configure that rule (banner type, consent model, behaviors, etc.).
  • Preview: see how the banner/rule looks on the front-end.
  • Rule options icon (sliders): quick access to that rule’s extra settings/tools.
  • + Add New Rule (top-right): create an additional rule (useful if you need custom targeting beyond the defaults).

Main settings (global switches)

These are plugin-wide toggles that affect everything:

  • Enable consent
    • Turns ConsentMagic on/off entirely.
    • If OFF, the plugin won’t apply rules or show messages.
  • Enable Script Blocking
    • Controls whether scripts are blocked/unblocked based on consent choices.
    • Works only when Enable consent is ON.
    • If OFF, ConsentMagic may still show messages, but it won’t block scripts.
  • View Settings button
    • Opens the full settings area (global configuration beyond the two main toggles).
