Google Analytics – GA4

Use this section to send PixelYourSite events to Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Your GA4 ID looks like G-XXXXXXXXXX.

Enable Pixel

Turns GA4 tracking ON/OFF for this Measurement ID.

GA4 Measurement ID (Tracking ID)

Google Analytics tracking ID

Paste your GA4 Measurement ID (starts with G-).

Where to find it (GA4):

  1. Open Google Analytics → Admin
  2. Go to Data streams
  3. Open your Web stream
  4. Copy the Measurement ID shown at the top of the stream details

Measurement Protocol (server-side)

Enable Measurement Protocol (add the api_secret)

When enabled, PixelYourSite can send certain events server-side to GA4 using Measurement Protocol (useful for “advanced purchase tracking” / cases where browser tracking isn’t enough).

Measurement Protocol API secret

Paste the API secret for your GA4 data stream.

Where to create/find the API secret:

  1. Google Analytics → Admin → Data streams
  2. Open your stream
  3. Go to Measurement Protocol / Measurement Protocol API secrets
  4. Create a secret and copy it

Keep the API secret private. Use it only for GA4 Measurement Protocol calls.

Debugging and Testing

Enable Analytics Debug mode for this property

Sends events in debug mode so you can see them in GA4 DebugView while testing.

Tip: enable only while debugging, then turn it OFF.

You can also test your tags on tagassistant.google.com (RECOMMENDED).

Server-side GTM (Beta)

Enable Server container url (Beta)

Optional. Use this only if you run server-side Google Tag Manager (sGTM) / a tagging server.

  • Server container url: your sGTM endpoint/domain.
  • Transport url: optional “send hits through this endpoint” URL (used to route requests through your tagging server).

If you don’t have sGTM, leave these OFF/empty.

What events this GA4 ID receives

  • Fire the active automated events for this pixel: automatic events (clicks, scroll, video, forms, etc.)
  • Fire the WooCommerce events for this pixel
  • Fire the Easy Digital Downloads events for this pixel

Use these to limit what this GA4 property collects.

Display conditions + hiding rules (Super Pack)

Display conditions / Add Extra Conditions

Target where the GA4 tag fires (entire site, specific pages, etc.).

Hide this tag if…

  • Page URL includes: block on matching pages
  • Landing URL includes: block based on entry URL / parameters
  • Hide for X hours: temporary suppression after a match (useful for troubleshooting)

Multiple GA4 IDs (Super Pack)

You can add more GA4 Measurement IDs (extra properties/streams).
