Facebook extra options
If ConsentMagic detects PixelYourSite on your site, it can add extra, more granular consent controls for two types of Meta data sharing:
- Advanced Matching
- Conversions API (CAPI)
These controls appear inside the Options popup (the detailed consent preferences window), so visitors can make a more informed choice about how their data is used — not just whether “Marketing” is on/off.
PixelYourSite status
At the top you’ll see a status message like:
- Active — ConsentMagic detected PixelYourSite and can enable the extra Meta consent options.
There’s also a link to learn how Facebook CAPI and Advanced Matching work.
Option 1: Advanced Matching consent in the Options popup
Toggle: Advanced Matching Consent in the Options Popup
When enabled:
- Visitors will see a dedicated Advanced Matching opt-in inside the consent preferences.
- This opt-in controls the Advanced Matching data sent by PixelYourSite.
You can also edit:
- Description (used in the Options pop-up) — the text visitors will read
- Additional languages — translations for that description
Important note (from the UI):
This does not control any Advanced Matching that the Meta Pixel itself might collect automatically — it only controls what PixelYourSite sends as Advanced Matching.
Option 2: Conversions API (CAPI) consent in the Options popup
Toggle: Conversion API (CAPI) Consent in the Options Popup
When enabled:
- Visitors will see a dedicated Conversion API consent item/category in the Options popup.
- This gives explicit consent control for server-side event sending (CAPI) when you use PixelYourSite.
You can also edit:
- Description (used in the Options pop-up)
- Additional languages (translations)
How this works with the Meta Pixel category
These two toggles add an extra layer of informed consent, but they don’t replace your main consent logic.
The key rule is:
- The Meta Pixel will always follow the consent given for its category (typically “Marketing”).
- If you don’t enable these extra options, then CAPI and Advanced Matching follow the same consent as the Meta Pixel (same category, same allow/block behavior).
