The required EDD events are added automatically
The ViewContent Event is added to all your download pages
The AddToCart Event will be fired on the add to cart button clicks. You set it to fire on the on the Checkout Page if you need to (useful for some custom configurations)
The Purchase Event will fire on the “Thank You Page”, where the user lands after completing the transaction.
Dynamic Product Ads Ready
All the EDD events are Dynamic Product Ads (DPA) ready, having all the appropriate parameters:
Fine-tuned conversion value
Value is automatically tracked for EDD each event and can be highly customized
Include or exclude tax
As the base for your events’ value you can use the EDD price logic (the exact price, as it is visible on your site for each client), or personalize it, by including or excluding the tax.
Turn value ON/OFF for each event
You can turn ON/OFF the value for almost all your EDD events. For the Purchase event value is mandatory.
Use the correct value
For each EDD event you can use the following value logic:
- product price
- product price percent (super useful, it can help you improve your conversion)
- a global value
Using the right event’s value can be crucial: too big, and it can increase the cost of your ads, too small or missing, and it can affect their deliverability. Experiment with these settings.
Fire the Purchase Event on transaction only
Your clients can reload the Thank You Page on purpose or by mistake, messing up your stats and conversion reports. With this option ON, the Purchase event will only fire when an actual transaction takes place.
This is a super-useful option for an EDD site since the user can get back on the “Thank You Page” multiple times to download the files or to get the license key.
Use your customers’ Lifetime Value (LTV)
Export an LTV customers file and use it to make LTV Lookalikes. LTV is also added as a parameter for the Purchase event and can be used for Custom Audiences as well.
Enable Advanced Matching
The plugin will securely send Advanced Matching data to Facebook, increasing your conversion attribution and remarketing reach.
Your EDD site will be ready for super-targeted Custom Audiences
You can do much more than just DPA. Our default events’ parameters will let you start super-smart remarketing campaigns
You will have an incredible set of events’ parameters to work with
- transaction_type (payd/free)
How to use all these features:
Optimize your ads for the right objective
The best strategy is to use the Purchase event when you optimize for conversions.
Get more specific with Custom Conversions
Sometimes you don’t want to optimize for just any sales, but for something more specific. Use Custom Conversions based on the Purchase event and its parameters.
This way you can optimize for sales from a specific category or product, even a minimum value.
Be always ready to retarget your clients
Make Custom Audiences from your Purchase Event and various time settings (180 days maximum).
And find new customers with Lookalike Audiences
Use your Purchase Event CA as the base for your Lookalikes
Be creative with your retargeting campaigns
Using events and parameters you can come segment your retargeting audiences in smart ways. For example, you can have CA of clients that didn’t use a coupon code in the last 30 days, or that downloaded a free product or a product under a particular category or tag.
Track conversion and ads’ performance with custom reports
Configure custom reports to show the performance of each key event fired on your site. You will better understand how your ads really perform.
